Dorset - see itinerary below
Time: meet Fri night and return Sunday evening
This 2-3 day Dorset trip is suitable for novice paddlers but camping experience is helpful and each person must be self sufficient for the duration of the trip i.e. food & camping gear.

ITINERARY

A 2 day ADVENTURE to remember. Launching from Ringstead Bay (near Weymouth) & along the r
ocky coastline past 'Bat's Hole' beach & on to 'Scratchy Bottom' where we land to enjoy the
view of the famous 'Durdle Door'. Historic Lulworth Cove offers a welcome rest stop with fresh hot food and a drink as well as 'Stair Hole', a beautiful cave system to explore (by kayak) just outside of the cove itself.

Man 'O War Bay & Durdle Door offer beautiful beaches for sunbathing, snorkelling & swimming. Wild camping on beaches in quiet coves only accessible by kayak with excellent fishing (mackerel, sea bass & pollack), socialise around an open fire and enjoy the good company of the group!

The entire trip is registered with Portland Coastguard and guided by BCU qualified Sea Kayak Guides and we complete our adventure back at Ringstead Bay at around 4-5pm on the final day. Great for novice paddle
rs and sea kayakers alike with only basic camping equipment needed - a healthy spirit of adventure is a prerequisite!

The departure guideline time is 10am on day 1 and all your trip details will be confirmed by email prior to launch. Parking is available at the launch site as well as toilet facilities and hot food and drink. Our price is for 2 Days per person and includes VAT as well as 1x 15ft sit-on-top, 1x paddle, 1x buoyancy aid. Double kayaks are also available.

EQUIPMENT

NOMAD (our suppliers) will provide your kayak, buoyancy aid and paddle and dry bags/drums. We use very stable Ocean Kayak Scupper Pro and Prowler single kayaks and Ocean Kayak Cabo double kayaks with plenty of storage room for gear. You’ll need to bring basic camping kit, tent, sleeping bag, food and toiletries - I’ve attached a suggested kit list for your interest (last years one, but won't be any different!)

ACCOMMODATION (FOR FRIDAY NIGHT)
annoyingly the recommended place by the kayak guys is now closed for refurbishment, so i've managed to find another campsite which will take bookings which is close by:

http://www.pebblebank.co.uk/location.html

There's no need to book apparently, and whilst they have a bar they don't serve food, so you may have to drive into the nearest town to eat, but shouldn't be a problem..

NOTE:
The itinerary is flexible and we can adjust the dates taking into account the MOD Artillery Range schedule. Durdle Door and Man ‘O War are beautiful spots for camping, exploring, snorkelling and fishing and we also have to remain flexible for weather conditions and so the itinerary may change to suit the conditions and make the most of the beauty spots.
