Dorset - see itinerary below (map)
Time: meet Fri night and return Sunday evening
This 2-3 day Dorset trip is suitable for novice paddlers but camping experience is helpful and each person must be self sufficient for the duration of the trip i.e. food & camping gear.

ITINERARY

The basic trip plan is to depart Ringstead Bay around 10am on the Saturday and paddle east towards the famous Durdle Door where we’ll stop for a while. We have the option of fishing, snorkelling and surfing or just relax on the beach. We then paddle on east towards Lulworth Cove, stopping in at Stair Hole to explore the caves there (see attached), stopping in at Lulworth Cove for a late lunch at the Beach Hotel before heading to our camp site back at Bats Hole (only accessible from the sea by small boat) so we have the entire beach to ourselves. We usually fish or spear some fresh fish for the communal pot and we always have a wood fire on the beach.

We break camp in the late morning after breakfast on day two. We paddle to Man ‘O War Bay, just opposite Durdle Door and here we can relax on the beach, swim in the beautiful lagoon like water of the cove or paddle, snorkel or fish. We finish around 4-5pm at Lulworth where we have a final celebrity drink and depart.

EQUIPMENT

NOMAD (our suppliers) will provide your kayak, buoyancy aid and paddle and dry bags/drums. We use very stable Ocean Kayak Scupper Pro and Prowler single kayaks and Ocean Kayak Cabo double kayaks with plenty of storage room for gear. You’ll need to bring basic camping kit, tent, sleeping bag, food and toiletries - I’ve attached a suggested kit list for your interest. 2010_Kit_List - Kayak Adventure.doc

ACCOMMODATION (FOR FRIDAY NIGHT)
annoyingly the recommended place by the kayak guys is now closed for refurbishment, so i've managed to find another campsite which will take bookings which is close by:

http://www.pebblebank.co.uk/location.html

There's no need to book apparently, and whilst they have a bar they don't serve food, so you may have to drive into the nearest town to eat, but shouldn't be a problem..

NOTE:
The itinerary is flexible and we can adjust the dates taking into account the MOD Artillery Range schedule. Durdle Door and Man ‘O War are beautiful spots for camping, exploring, snorkelling and fishing and we also have to remain flexible for weather conditions and so the itinerary may change to suit the conditions and make the most of the beauty spots.
